Corton Beach – Gunton Sands – Suffolk

Corton was officially designated as a naturist beach in 1979. However that designation was removed in 2009 due to coastal erosion reducing the available space for everyone. Around that time Waverney District Council also revoked a local by-law which prohibited nude bathing on other beaches in the area. Naturists still tend to use the area which was officially designated section.

The beach is of stones and gravel with some sand and also quite narrow. It is backed by a grass ridge and concrete sea defence. Overlooked by a caravan park and non-naturists walk through that area.
